Florida Abortion Awareness Project (Copy)

What can be better than a mid-winter getaway to Florida? How about a mid-winter getaway to Florida to save babies and work with other pro-lifers from across North America? We guarantee that if you come, you will be changed and inspired, and the lives you touch will be as well! For many years, we have organized this tour, and every single one was life changing. Hundreds of students from around the world have seen the power of this display–and we want you to experience it too!
The Abortion Awareness Project (AAP) creates important dialogue and opens the eyes of countless university students to the tragic reality of abortion. Do you want to help us save lives, change minds, and minister to the wounded in Florida? Then we would like to invite you to join the Canadian CBR staff as we work with our American partners to do an AAP Tour in Florida.
You will be trained in pro-life apologetics and dialogue, sharpen your conversational skills, and test the effectiveness of abortion victim photography to change more hearts and minds. You will be able to minister to people your age and form lasting friendships with other pro-lifers who, like you, are passionate and willing to prioritize the lives of pre-born children.

FAQs
> When will I know if my application has been accepted?
You should hear whether you have been accepted or not approx. 2 weeks after the registration deadline. The application process can be quite competitive, but don’t lose hope if you have been waitlisted – if someone drops out due to circumstances outside of their control this opens up space for a waitlisted applicant to take their place.
> What is covered in the registration fee?
The registration fee covers accommodations, food, and in-Florida transportation.
> Will CCBR book my flights?
No. Each applicant is responsible for their own flight booking and cost.
Following the acceptance of your registration, the AAP team will be in touch with flight dates, times, and which airports you will need to fly in and out of.
Driving to/from Florida is also available for a fee, and dependant on space. Our Ontario CCBR vans make the drive down to Florida Feb 3-4, and return to Ontario Feb 19-20. A one-way flight will still be necessary.
> Is sponsorship available?
CCBR does not provide sponsorship for this trip, however, we do provide all attendees with a fundraising guideline on how to raise funds to cover your trip cost. Your local Right to Life group might also be able to provide some sponsorship.
> What are accommodations like during AAP?
We have many generous supporters throughout Florida who open up their homes to host our team. This helps keep trip costs down, and it provides a meaningful way for local pro-lifers to be a part of the outreach happening in their own area. Depending on the available space at our host homes you might be slated to share a bed, however then we will do our best to put you together with someone of similar age and demographic.
> What is the schedule for the week?
A brief sketch of the AAP schedule is as follows:
Friday – arrival in Florida
Saturday – training day
Sunday – church and relaxing
Monday through Thursday – full days of outreach on university campuses
Friday – departure day
> Can my friend or spouse join?
Space in host homes and vehicles is limited to AAP staff and participants. If they have applied and are accepted as a participant, absolutely. You can make a note in your application form that you would like to attend with someone else, and we will take that into consideration as we review all the applications.
